Enjoy a two-hour small group private walking art tour of American Art at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, D.C.

You will begin your tour at the start of the 1700’s American Colonial Art and work your way up into the beginning of the 20th Century. We will view top examples of Hudson River School Art, Realism, American Impressionism, American Golden Era, and artfully ending at the beginnings of Modern American. This tour includes famous fan-favorite artists such as John Singer Sargent, Winslow Homer, Thomas Moran, George Catlin, Benjamin West, John La Farge, Frederic Edwin Church, and many others.

our guided art tour includes both the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Portrait Gallery Museum, and the Lunder Conservation Center. On this two-hour walking tour, your guide has curated a well-rounded tour that focuses on the art history and stories behind each painting and artist. The address for the Museum is 8th and G Streets, NW Washington, D.C. The Museum is open seven days a week from 11:30 am to 7:00 pm. The closest metro station to the Museum is the Gallery Place Station. When exiting the station make a left towards F Street. The group meets at the corner of F Street N.W. and 7th Street. Across the street is the Hotel Monaco. The Museum does not have a parking garage.
