Virtual Classical Architecture Tour

On this two-hour virtual tour, you will explore Ancient Egypt, Greek and Roman Architecture and the influences these three civilizations had on each other. You will focus on the styles that were shared by looking at temples, theaters, and tombs. Your guide will lead you through the development of design, use of materials, and how structures engage both with creation of space and how the people used them. Conversely, we will also discuss the long arm of Greco-Roman Empire and the effects of imperialism and colonization on architecture in the Mediterranean.

The virtual tour will be delivered via the video conferencing app Zoom. Listed time of tour is Eastern Time Zone.
