Find Influential Artists highly talented and some less familiar

You will begin in 1588 as the Dutch left the rule of Phillip II of Spain chart their own course as an autonomous sovereign nation.  On the dawn of a meteoric rise in trade, science, and art came to an abrupt halt during “Disaster Year” of 1672.

You will uncover some of the unique struggles Dutch artists faced as their world transitioned to a more open and flexible art market. You will be introduced to some of the artists that were accomplished successful businessmen and women.

Self Portrait Judith Lyster

The Dutch artists chose to portray celebration, passion, and candid emotions through trying times.

At the end of the tour, you will receive a free bonus explaining how Dutch Art changed into Europea's next grand art movement as we see a rise in female naturalist painters and view a few paintings from the Rococo art movement.

A few of the Dutch Golden Age artists that we will see are Aelbert Cuyp, Lodolph Backhuysen, Johannes Vermeer, Frans Hals, Rembrandt, Pieter de Hooch, and Hendrick Avercamp.
