About Your Guides

Stephen Mead

Stephen Mead is more than a tour guide. He’s a passionate sacred art enthusiast, storyteller, and history buff, with a broad knowledge of the antiquities of art. Stephen lived in London for many years and was invited to lead exhibition tours at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum. He also started talking for the National Arts Collection Fund and worked for numerous educational institutions across Britain. Stephen later relocated to the D.C area and has been part of our family for 6+ years. Stephen is a famous face around these parts, ushering countless tour groups young and old through the boughs of history. Stephen’s unique storytelling style captures the minds and hearts of everyone who joins him on a journey through time, exploring the beauty of Modern Art throughout the centuries.

 Christine Phillips

Christine Phillips is excited to be your guide on your next tour. Her undergraduate studies included four semesters of art history and a minor in Art Studies, where she helped install an outsider artist exhibition. Christine received her Master of Architecture degree from the NC State University College of Design and practiced architecture here in Washington, DC. She is a Washington National Cathedral docent and a licensed DC tour guide with architecture and history tour experience. Her passion for art goes back to childhood and spending time in museums has always been inspiring for her. Whether in architecture or paintings, she loves to understand the story behind the art she is seeing and share that story with her guests.

The tour is conducted through Zoom. You must have uninterrupted access to Wi-Fi. Please purchase your Zoom Art Tour with your Zoom program email. You may watch your art tour on your computer, tablet, iPhone, or Television Set. Better views are with large screens.

How to Join

Once you have registered for the tour you will be sent a separate email with your Zoom link on the morning of your tour. If you do not see your Zoom link one hour before the start of the tour, please contact the organizer.
