At the National Gallery of Art
our guided tours specialize in specific artists and art from the Museum’s collection. Our two hours long tours are curated so that you can focus on art history and stories. The National Gallery of Art is opened daily from 10 am to 5 pm. The closest metro station is the Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter. If you take the metro, when you get out of the station take a left and cross the street. Walk forward towards the National Mall to Constitution Avenue. At Constitution Avenue make a Left and walk-up the street towards the Capitol. As you are walking towards the Capitol you will come across a U-Shaped driveway with an entrance. This is the entrance to enter the Museum. Please wait on the ground level by the information desk. The National Gallery of Art does not have a parking garage. Please be aware that on the weekend parking in the area is short on demand and not close to the Museum.

You will begin your tour at the start of the Italian Renaissance and work your way up into top examples of Baroque Era, Romanticism, and finally ending in French Impressionism. This tour includes famous artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, J.M.W. Turner, and Vincent Van Gogh.

On this two-hour walking tour, your guide has curated a well-rounded tour that focuses on the art history and stories behind each painting and artist. The address for the Museum is 8th and G Streets, NW Washington, D.C. The Museum is open seven days a week from 11:30 am to 7:00 pm. The closest metro station to the Museum is the Gallery Place Station. When exiting the station make a left towards F Street. The group meets at the corner of F Street N.W. and 7th Street. Across the street is the Hotel Monaco. The Museum does not have a parking garage.
Walking American Art Tour:
Enjoy a two-hour walking art tour of American Art from the Smithsonian American Art Museum collection. You will begin your tour at the start of the 1700’s American Colonial Art and work your way up into the beginning of the 20th Century. We will view top examples of Hudson River School Art, Realism, American Impressionism, American Golden Era, and artfully ending at the beginnings of Modern American. This tour includes famous fan-favorite artists such as John Singer Sargent, Winslow Homer, Thomas Moran, George Catlin, Benjamin West, John La Farge, Frederic Edwin Church, and many others.
