What our Guests Are Saying

Steven gave a great tour of the Library of Congress. A hidden gem that is often overlooked in favor of other attractions. However, the architecture alone is worth the visit. Plus who knew they had the massive collection of comic books!

For mosaic fans, this is a wonderful building. Treat yourself to this piece of history and seek out the winged genius.
Library of Congress
This was a great way to get an introduction to the national gallery of art. We would have been completely overwhelmed on our own. Not to mention that the guide clearly knew his stuff. He gave the backstories for each piece he discussed and pointed out details that I would never have noticed.
Big Art Tour
I really enjoyed this tour, Stephen is very knowledgeable and I learned some new things about Modern Art, and it's a complete tour of the building which in itself is a work of art.

I've been several times and saw things I've never seen! And the length of the tour is just right!
Modern Art Tour
We had a wonderfully enlightening tour at the National Gallery of Art Renaissance to Impressionism. My husband, son, daughter, and grandmother all enjoyed this tour. Our highly skilled tour guide was the consummate professional; he educated us regarding the subtle nuances of various Masters of impressionism. He managed to capture the attention and pique the interest of teenagers and elders alike! #HighlyRecommended

I feel lucky to have had such an expert guide. Clearly an expert and had such a wonderfully narrative delivery of facts and tidbits, you could be sure to retain most all that was said. A really a fantastic tour that surpassed expectations.
French Impressionism Art Tour
I was so happy that I booked this tour. I almost didn’t, but it was money well spent. Stephen was so incredibly knowledgeable and witty. He pointed out things that I would have overlooked and missed the funny anecdotes that made the visit worth it! My 12-year-old son loved this tour!
Library of Congress
This was a great tour for our family to take. He was very engaging and fun to listen to. You can tell that he loved the art that he was talking about. He showed different symbols and what the artists were trying to communicate that I never knew before hand. The kids got a little extra education on our vacation. Well done. Will come back for more.

Our fantastic guide Ella gave us a whirlwind tour of over 15 murals in the U Street Corridor. I doubt I would have ever found this fantastic street art without her guidance. She provided background on the mural artists (muralists), the inspiration for the paintings and the DC initiative to stop graffiti. It would be impossible to choose my favorite mural as I loved them all. I am writing an article for FemaleSoloTrek because I am fascinated by the U Street Corridor! It is such a historically significant DC neighbor. Its nickname is Black Broadway.

It was really fun! The guide knew a lot about the building and looked up answers to any questions he didn't know. The tour had some fun gems like a really old Spiderman comic, details about different authors and artists, and a look at some famous entertainers like the Gershwins.
Library of Congress
We did a tour and it was totally worth it. There is a tunnel between the capitol and the library with shorter security for the capitol. The Supreme Court is also worth a visit and only footsteps away.
Library of Congress
An enlightening and absorbing tour of this museum. Instead of drifting through and nodding at the art, we were given an opportunity to learn about the stories behind the picture. Excellent tour by Stephen Mead. Would thoroughly recommend this.
Big Art Tour
Excellent guide. She knew the history of the area by heart. Started at the African American Civil War Memorial and took us from murals of famous jazz players to Ben’s Chili Bowl commissioned portraits of the Obamas and others. I highly recommend this tour.
Street Art Tour
Stephen Mead was a wonderful tour guide. He showed the group a nice variety of Renaissance artwork and a few pieces by Impressionist masters. He is very knowledgeable about the paintings he presented, and he had a great sense of humor, too. I highly recommend a tour with Stephen.
