I have a virtual art tour ticket what now? 

You will receive your Zoom link by email the morning of your art tour.  Please log into the art tour ten minutes before the start of the art tour so that you can determine if you need assistance to log into the art tour.  If you need assistance contact our customer care for troubleshooting.

Are Street Art Museum Tours Family Friendly?

Yes, our tours are family friendly. However, there are a few fine art museum artworks that do have adult themes. Please be advised that the human form is included in several artwork. You will come across this with the Big Art Tour and Modern Art Tour which looks at classical art that includes nudity. The best family themed tours are French Impressionism Art Tour, Library of Congress Tour, and Street Art Tour

 Are the Tours nonsmoking?

All tours are nonsmoking.

How old do you have to be to book a tour?
You must be aged 18 to confirm a booked tour.

Is it possible to change the tours time and place?
Only if you request a special Private Tour through contacting our Travelers Department.

Is the artwork viewed and routes always the same?
It depends on the schedule of the Museum. The Museum may rotate certain artwork into new locations or completely off view. We will try to make substitutions as needed. Changes to tours and the spots we visit may occur due to public holidays, weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances. Applicable substitutions will be made in this case.

Are the tours conducted in English?
Yes, all our administration and tour guides can speak English.

Can one person make a booking as a solo traveler?
Yes, you can make a booking for one guest.

What kind of credit cards do you accept?
We accept most major credit cards. Please email us if you have any questions or difficulty.

Is there free Wi-Fi along the tour routes?
Yes, the Museum has a free Wi-Fi.

Are Street Art Museum Tours LGBT friendly?
Yes, our tours are LGBT friendly. We love to provide our services to people of all backgrounds and believe that a diverse tour service is the best way to connect with people around the world. We are open to the LGBT community and happy to have tour guests of any gender, sexual identity, race, religion, and nationality.

What happens if we are late for our tour?
Out of respect for our other guests and our guides, we must start the tour on time. There is a grace period of 5 minutes after the tour start time; however, if you are not there by the end of the grace period you most probably will be left behind. As our tours are structured with stops at different points of interests it is possible to inform you where the tour most likely is located. This isn’t a guarantee that you will find your tour. What if I am lost and can’t find the starting point?
This happens to all creative adventurers from time to time. Give us a call at 202-294-4265 and we will give you directions.

Are your tours wheelchair accessible?
All Museum tours are wheelchair accessible. The Street Art Tour includes murals that are viewed in allay ways. These locations are not wheelchair friendly. Please contact us to let us know that you will be using a wheelchair at diane@streetartmuseumtours.com

Do you accommodate private tours?
Yes, we are more than happy to share a more intimate art experience with our guests. You can choose the private tour option on the cart to make a standard tour private. We can also tailor the tours to your preferences as well. Please contact us to discuss in more detail.

How long do the tours last?
Our online experiences are one to two hours long. Our in-person tours last two hours. These timings are rough estimates.

Are tickets refundable?
Virtual tours are refunded the cost of the ticket minus bank fees up to the start of the tour.  Private tours are only refunded 24 hours in advance.

What if the weather is bad?
All inside tours will occur as planned. However, outside walking tours may be postponed if the heat advisory is turned up to Oh Gosh It Is So BAD. If you are visiting us during this really badly hot time and will not be in town for the new date, then we will refund you minus a small processing fee.

Who We Are

Established in 2013, Street Art Museum Tours focuses on providing experiences for people who are interested in the arts, history, and culture when they visit Washington, D.C. All tours are run by certified tour guides with backgrounds in art history with art museum docent training. We offer group art exhibit experiences, private walking tours, private art museum tours, and other cultural adventures. When Covid became an issue, we did not close down but pivoted to offer virtual art tours. Our virtual art tours have been enjoyed by thousands of attendees with high review rankings. We start with the best people and finish first.
